GENERAL WATER PROFILE FOR THE BATHING AREA — PROFILE DESCRIPTION On November 30, 2024, a water profile was prepared for the PRZYSTAŃ GOSŁAWICE bathing area, containing: 1. A description of the physical, hydrological, and geographical characteristics of the water in the inland bathing area located on Lake Pątnowskie: a) elevation above sea level: <200 m, b) lake area: 2.903 km², c) catchment area: 100 km² or more, but not more than 1,000 km², d) abiotic type: a lake on a limestone substrate, with a high Schindler coefficient, polymictic; e) silty-sandy bottom; f) maximum lake depth 5.5 m, average 2.6 m; g) beach length along the shoreline – 43 m 2. Description of the bathing area’s technical infrastructure and measures to ensure its cleanliness: fenced-off swimming zones and a wading pool for children, changing room, restrooms, showers, trash cans (emptied at least 5 times a day), benches; pets are not allowed on the bathing area or beach. 3. Identification and assessment of pollution sources that may affect water quality at the bathing area: a) discharges of cooling water via a common channel into Lakes Pątnowskie, Licheńskie, and Wąsowsko–Mikorzyńskie based on permits issued by the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Province; discharge from fish farming ponds based on a water permit issued by the Mayor of Konin; discharge of treated stormwater and snowmelt from the area of Łężyńska Street; b) assessment of the potential for cyanobacterial blooms—medium risk; c) short-term microbiological contamination caused by: domestic sewage, contaminated stormwater, and cooling water discharges. 4. Actions: notice boards, flags, websites, increased monitoring of the swimming area, ongoing cleaning of the shores and water surface by swimming area staff, organoleptic inspection and monitoring as part of internal controls, reporting to the PSSE—Municipal Hygiene Section. 5. Public notification: flying flags, websites—the GIS bathing area service, the organizer’s website, and notice boards located in the area adjacent to the bathing area. 6. Information on increased frequency of water sampling: Water quality monitoring will be conducted in accordance with the water sampling schedule for the 2025 season approved by the State District Sanitary Inspector (PPIS) in Konin. The State District Sanitary Inspector in Konin classified the water quality as satisfactory following the 2024 swimming season.
