The Na Piaskach Reservoir, Budzyńska section (also known as the Kryspinów Reservoir), is a quarry left behind after the extraction of sand and gravel from the “Kryspinów I” deposit ” sand and gravel deposit, located approximately 10 km west of downtown Kraków and 3 km from the city’s administrative boundary. It is a remnant of many years of aggregate extraction for construction purposes. Originally, the area was farmland. As a result of the mining operations, a water reservoir was created. After mining ceased in 1988, the land was transferred to the Liszki Municipality. The swimming area is a section of the reservoir marked off by buoys, measuring 100x30 m, with an adjacent sandy beach. It is located in the southeastern part of the reservoir. The swimming area is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during July and August. The maximum number of visitors to the swimming area is 500 people. The water level in the reservoir is linked to the groundwater level and fluctuates slightly by a dozen or so centimeters. The water level is 212 meters above sea level. The water depth in the swimming area ranges from 0.9 to 1.6 meters in the area for strong swimmers and up to about 0.8 meters in the area for non-swimmers. The reservoir’s water is of good quality. The water in the swimming area is regularly tested by the State District Sanitary Inspectorate in Kraków and is classified as “excellent.” Equipment directly related to the operation of the swimming area includes: red buoys—13 in total—marking the boundary of the swimming area; yellow buoys—7 in total—marking the boundary of the area for non-swimmers. the main WOPR lifeguard station; lifeguard stations—3 stations + a flag; a sandy beach; rescue equipment in accordance with separate regulations. The swimming area is adjacent to a multi-space parking lot, outside the designated sunbathing area, there is a volleyball court nearby. Sanitary facilities: a restroom located about 30 meters from the swimming area, consisting of a men’s section equipped with two urinals, two toilets, and a sink, and a women’s section equipped with four toilets, two sinks, two showers, and separate restrooms for people with disabilities, each with a sink and a shower. The restrooms are equipped with both hot and cold water. The water supply comes from the municipal water system. The swimming area is additionally equipped with TOI-TOI portable restrooms. The water supply comes from the municipal water system. Liquid waste is discharged into the sewer system owned by Likom Sp. z o.o. Waste on the resort premises is collected in appropriate containers, and selective collection of packaging waste is conducted. The waste is collected by BSS.
