General description of the water in the bathing area based on the “Hydrological Assessment of Lake Skępskie Wielkie” profile: Lake Skępskie Wielkie has a surface area of 120 ha and a lake basin volume of 3,349.0 thousand m³. The oval-shaped reservoir has a slightly elongated shape running parallel to the latitude lines. The maximum depth is 4.0 m and is located in the central part of the lake. Bathing area status: Lake Skępskie Wielkie, on which the bathing area is located, has existed since the 1970s and is used for bathing as defined in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of January 17, 2019, on the supervision of water quality at bathing areas and sites used for bathing (Journal of Laws 2019, item 255). Based on tests of water samples collected from Lake Skępskie Wielkie and the opinion of the State County Sanitary Inspector in Lipno, the water at the bathing site in Skępe was found to be suitable for bathing. The tested parameters, such as Escherichia coli and enterococci, were below the standard limits. Based on a visual assessment of the water, no cyanobacterial blooms, tarry sediments, or proliferation of macroalgae or phytoplankton were observed. In recent years, no studies have been conducted on the lake to classify its waters according to the Lake Quality Assessment System. Description of the Bathing Area The bathing area is located in the northern part of Lake Skępskie Wielkie, in the town of Skępe, on Plażowa Street. The swimming area is located on plots with cadastral numbers 1528/1—a hydrographic network (waters) owned by the State Treasury—the State Water Management Authority (WODY POLSKIE)—and cadastral numbers 223/4/5 — areas designated for sports, tourism, and recreation, owned by the Town and Municipality of Skępe.
