Lake Biezdruchowskie, where the swimming area is located, is characterized by well-oxygenated water with relatively high transparency and a low content of organic compounds. No cyanobacterial blooms, tar-like substances, glass, plastics, or other waste were found in the waters of Lake Biezdruchowskie. The tested parameters, such as Escherichia coli and enterococci, were below the standard and amounted to 110 NPL/100 ml and 14 CFU/100 ml, respectively. In recent years, no studies have been conducted on the lake to classify its waters according to the Lake Quality Assessment System. The lake was assigned Category III for susceptibility to degradation. The good assessment of the lake’s water quality is associated with a low level of area-wide pollution and the absence of point source pollution. The lake’s direct watershed consists of 60% agricultural land, 27% forests, and 6% meadows, while only 7% of the area is occupied by the built-up area of the town of Pobiedziska. Surrounding the recreational areas are low-density urbanized areas, including single-family residential and commercial buildings. No potential sources of pollution have been identified in the immediate vicinity of the lake. Therefore, the risk of water and sediment contamination at the bathing area is low.
