The lake has 5 islands, the largest of which covers an area of about 4 ha. The bottom is muddy, sandy in places, and sandy-rocky in others. The shallow areas are overgrown with vegetation. The lake is easily accessible from virtually all sides. Access is particularly good from the nearby towns of Wikno, Jabłonka, Natać Wielka, and Natać Mała. The shores are high, though low and flat in some places. The immediate surroundings consist of coniferous forests and the buildings of nearby villages. Directly along the shores, alder dominates, with a small proportion of birch and willow. Around the shores, there is a belt of reed vegetation ranging from a few to over a dozen meters wide. Reed, narrow-leaved cattail, and broad-leaved cattail are the dominant species. The waters are home to bream, silver bream, bleak, and, to a lesser extent, other fish species.
