The Nakło-Chechło Reservoir—an artificial body of water located in the Silesian Voivodeship, in the Tarnowskie Góry County, within the Świerklaniec municipality, on the border between the villages of Świerklaniec and Nakło Śląskie. In the late 1960s, sand was mined at this site. Sand mining ceased in 1968, and a few years later, the excavation was flooded with water. The Upper Silesian Narrow-Gauge Railway route—Bytom Narrow-Gauge–Miasteczko Śląskie Narrow-Gauge—runs nearby. Signs and information boards indicating how to reach the Zalew Nakło Recreation Center – Chechło, indicating designated parking areas within the resort. The lake serves recreational purposes. The Nakło-Chechło Reservoir area features vacation resorts, summer cottages, and campgrounds, as well as rental services for kayaks, boats, and pedal boats, and walking trails. The lake is characterized by sandy beaches. The shoreline consists of sand, grass, and reed beds. An asphalt path runs around the lake, and pine and mixed forests covering an area of approximately 300 ha stretch out around it. Within the so-called campground, near the designated swimming area, there is a parking lot for passenger vehicles, food service areas, and a beach volleyball court.
