The swimming area is located on the grounds of the Recreation and Water Sports Center in Kaniów at 6 Malinowa Street, within a larger post-mining body of water that was once a gravel pit. The facility is administered by the Bestwina Municipal Office, Department of Sports and Promotion. The swimming area is mostly up to about 2.5 m deep, locally up to 3.5 m–4 meters, and is bounded by floating docks with designated swimming areas for children (paddling pool), non-swimmers, and swimmers. The swimming area features a sandy beach with a shoreline approximately 70 meters long. During the swimming season, which runs from June through September, the area is supervised by certified lifeguards and has first-aid facilities. The facility also includes restroom and dining facilities, as well as essential sports and recreational infrastructure, including: a playground, an outdoor gym, two beach volleyball courts, two canoe polo courts, a grandstand with approximately 200 seats, a campground, access roads, and green spaces.
