The swimming area is located on Lake Żarnowieckie in the village of Nadole, at 3 Kaszubska Street (Gniewino Municipality, Wejherowo County, Pomeranian Voivodeship). The swimming area is situated within the lake, which has an area of 14.32 km² and an average depth of 8.4 m (maximum depth: 19.4 m), located at an elevation below 200 m above sea level. The bottom of the swimming area is sandy and rocky. The lake is not part of a quiet zone—there is a water equipment rental service here (kayaks, pedal boats, rowboats), and motorboat cruises as well as trips on the “Nadolanin” steamboat are offered. Fishing is also permitted within the swimming area. The immediate surroundings of the swimming area feature grassy areas with small architectural features, walkways, and a gazebo. In recent years (including 2022), water quality has been rated as good. No cyanobacterial blooms have been observed over the past four years, and the risk of their occurrence is assessed as nonexistent. The risk of phytoplankton proliferation is also considered nonexistent. There is also no data on sediment contamination. No discharges of municipal, industrial, or domestic wastewater, nor any other potential sources of pollution in the immediate vicinity of the swimming area, have been recorded in the profile. There are also no threats associated with agricultural or industrial activities here. Short-term microbiological contamination, mainly Escherichia coli, may occur sporadically, usually following heavy rainfall. Such contamination does not last longer than 24 hours. In such cases, the bathing area will be temporarily closed, and the relevant authorities will be notified. The bathing area is equipped with restrooms and trash cans.
