General Description of the Water at the “Zalew Floryda” Bathing Area The “Zalew Floryda” bathing area is located on a reservoir formed on the Jagódka watercourse, within the city of Leżajsk. The reservoir is surrounded by green spaces, forests, and recreational areas, within the boundaries of the Brzóźniański Protected Landscape Area. The bathing beach is approximately 100 m long and serves as a publicly accessible spot for relaxation and water recreation. The reservoir has a small surface area of approximately 3.85 ha and an average depth of about 1.5 m, with a maximum depth of about 2.5 m. The water level remains relatively stable, which contributes to safe use of the swimming area. There are no identified sources of municipal or industrial wastewater discharge, nor any other pollutants that could negatively affect water quality, in the immediate vicinity of the swimming area. The watershed consists mainly of green spaces, forests, and recreational areas. Based on the analysis conducted, the risk of cyanobacterial blooms was assessed as low, while no significant risk of excessive phytoplankton growth was identified. In the event of adverse changes in water quality, laboratory tests will be conducted and public information campaigns will be carried out in accordance with applicable safety procedures.
