The first water sample for testing was collected as part of an official PIS inspection on June 24, 2025—the results were normal. A water quality assessment was issued on June 27, 2025. Subsequent water tests in July and August were conducted as part of the organizer’s internal inspection. On July 6, 2025, the State County Sanitary Inspector in Łosice received information from the bathing area operator that a sewer system failure had occurred near the Łosice Reservoir and that some sewage had entered the reservoir. On July 7, 2025, water samples were collected for testing, which revealed that the Escherichia coli count exceeded the limit at 1295 [965;1738]N1—these tests were conducted outside the established schedule. The enterococci count was within normal limits. Immediately upon receiving the test report, an announcement was issued stating that the water was unsuitable for swimming, along with an assessment of the water’s unsuitability for swimming. On July 16, 2025, water samples were collected for testing—the results were normal; the test results from July 25, 2025, August 8, 2025, and August 22, 2025, were also normal. According to the application, the swimming area should be open from July 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025. However, due to a lack of lifeguards, the swimming area opened on July 4, 2025. A container building is located next to the swimming area, housing two women’s restrooms, two men’s restrooms, and one restroom for people with disabilities, as well as an equipment room and a lifeguard room. There is also a changing room. Water is supplied from the public water system, and wastewater is discharged into the public sewer system. Cleaning is handled by employees of the Łosice Town and Municipality Office. On February 11, 2025, the State County Sanitary Inspector issued a positive opinion on the draft resolution of the Łosice City and Municipality Council regarding the establishment of a list of bathing areas within the City and Municipality of Łosice. On May 9, 2025, the schedule for water sampling at the bathing area during the 2025 summer season was also approved. In total, the State District Sanitary Inspector in Łosice issued four positive water quality assessments and one assessment stating that the water was unsuitable for swimming due to an excess of Escherichia coli bacteria. The State County Sanitary Inspector in Łosice reports that the following management measures have been taken regarding the water at the bathing area on the Toczna River reservoir in Łosice: 1. The State County Sanitary Inspector in Łosice, as part of ongoing official monitoring: a) designated a water quality monitoring point for testing at the bathing area in question; b) collected a pre-season water sample from the designated sampling point; c) based on the aforementioned test reports, issued ongoing water quality assessments for the bathing area at the Toczna River reservoir in Łosice; d) during the bathing season, the water was suitable for bathing from a microbiological standpoint; e) On July 9, 2025, a notice and quality assessment were issued stating that the water was unsuitable for swimming due to Escherichia coli levels exceeding the limit. f) Up-to-date information on water quality at the bathing area on the Toczna River reservoir in Łosice was posted on the Chief Sanitary Inspector’s website under “Bathing Area Service” and on the website of the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Łosice. Paper copies of the assessments were provided to the owner and the operator of the bathing area. Furthermore, the State County Sanitary Inspector in Łosice reports that: 1. On February 11, 2025, the State District Sanitary Inspector in Łosice issued a favorable opinion on the draft resolution of the Łosice City and Municipality Council regarding the list of bathing areas for 2025 within the City and Municipality of Łosice, including the duration of the bathing season. 2.
